This Privacy Policy explains how Maafsaya collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the app.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: email address and authentication identifiers.
• Profile information: name and phone number (if provided).
• Vehicle information: vehicle ID, plate number, and owner settings.
• Communication information: QR contact messages, reports, blocked contacts.
• Device/app information: push notification token and technical metadata.

2. How We Use Information

• To create and manage your account.
• To provide QR-based vehicle contact messaging.
• To deliver push notifications and service alerts.
• To support privacy controls and abuse prevention.

3. Service Providers

Maafsaya uses Firebase/Google Cloud services (including Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Messaging, and Cloud Functions) to provide core app functionality.

4. Data Sharing

• We do not sell personal data.
• Data may be processed by service providers to operate the app.
• We may disclose data when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

5. Data Retention

We retain data as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

6. Security

We use reasonable safeguards and encrypted data transmission. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Your Choices and Rights

• You can update profile and settings in-app.
• You can request account deletion through the account deletion process below.

8. Account Deletion

In-app path (implemented): Settings > Account > Delete Account

Upon validated deletion request or in-app deletion confirmation, we delete the account and owner-linked app data, except where retention is legally required.

9. Children

Maafsaya is not directed to children.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the effective date.
